September 19,

6th
This week we will be exploring one and two step equations. We will be talking about how an equations is a two expression that are equal, or balanced. And we will be looking at different ways to solve for a variable,.

7th
This week we will be looking and exploring algebraic expressions. When given an expression students will know have to substitute a variable in and evaluate. They will also be able to take a verbal expression and then write a mathematical sentence.

8th
This week we will be learning about and studying inequalities. We will be able to solve and graph any type of inequality.

August 29th

This week we will be having our first test in each math class.

6th
We will be finishing up chapter 1 and having a test Wednesday. After that we will start chapter 2 which will cover algebraic expressions.

7th
Test on chapter one is today, and then we will be exploring negative numbers and all the fun things we can do with them

8th
We will be having the test covering chapter 1 on Wednesday. After that we will start exploring equations.

Week 4

Announcement: You may have notices that IXL reorganized some things this weekend. The objective numbers are different. Just be aware.

6th Grade
We are going to going to learning how to add, subtract, multiply and divide rational numbers. This will involve manipulating fraction so they have common denominators, and then reducing them to lowest terms.

7th Grade
We will be able to recognize the links between factors and multiples, and how finding the prime factorization of numbers can lead us to finding the relationships between numbers.

8th Grade
8th grade will be studying the properties of inequalities and how to solve inequalities by using inverse operations.
